With over 40 hotels, most of which are on the four kilometers fine-sand beach, Albena is also in immediate proximity to the cool forests of Baltata Natural Reserve, providing a nice bled of sea and forest.
Most of the hotels are all-inclusive types and provided vast options of entertainment and activities for adults, young adults and families with children. There are numerous playgrounds, seven football stadiums, along with hockey ground, tennis courts, horse stables and much more.
Albena is also a popular spa destination. Besides the classical and exotic spa and beauty procedures offered at the spa facilities, there are also various balneology and medical treatment services.

- For the golf lovers, a game at fantastic golf resorts at BlackSeaRama, Lighthouse or Thracian Cliffs.
- For the history lovers a trip to Cape Kaliakra. A visit to Cape Kaliakra, a nature and archaeological reserve. Thracians were the first to build a settlement around 4th century BC, which was later enhanced by the Greeks. The museum features many archeological finds from the rich past of Cape Kaliakra, The cape is also a part of “Via Pontika”, the migrating path of the birds, and during August-October thousands and thousand of birds fly through. And also a visit to Aladja Rock Monastery, hundreds of years old cave monastery, situated in Zlatni Pyasatsi Nature Park.
- For the romatics, then a trip to the Botanical Garden of Balchik, a small coastal town with over 26 centuries of history. It features a rich variety of plant species and has the biggest cacti collection in Easter Europe. In the garden is also the Palace, another famous landmark of Balchik, built as summer residence of the Romanian Queen. And also a visit to Euxinograde, the former summer residence of the Bulgarian monarchs Alexander I, Ferdinand I, and Boris III. Enjoy some wine tasting (namely white wines) at the residence’s cellars or stroll the marvelous gardens.
Day 5
Locations: AlbenaYou may also spend an afternoon in Varna- a wonderful place to explore. The city blends ancient, medieval, renaissance and modern cultures. Visit the numerous museums, the sea garden, catch a show at the Dolphinarium or simply stroll Main Street and enjoy the many shops and cafes.
