Bike Weekend in Borovets
2 days | Biking 0 Comments | Write a commentPlanning a weekend bike getaway to Bulgaria? Or you have a free weekend while in Sofia for business or pleasure? Consider biking around Borovets, the oldest and biggest winter resort in Bulgaria, yet a fantastic mountain bike terrain in the spring/summer/early fall. You will find over 20km of marked trails suitable for both beginners and experts. Some of the ski chairs have special hooks for bikes, so the higher elevation routes can be easily accessed and concurred.
There is also a 14km long family track that tours some of the most beautiful places in the resort like Black Rock, Musalenska path and Musala, Royal Bystrica Sitnyakovo Palace, etc.
When inquiring about this tour, do let us know if you will bring your own bike or you a rental (the specifics of which also need to be discussed).

An optional terrain to explore is in the nearby village of Govedsrtsi (just 20 km away), where biking to Maliovitsa Hut is challenging and rewarding.
Early evening return to Sofia. Or stay an extra a night in Borovets and next day transfer to Sofia Airport for departure.
